The articles cover issues on foreign philology, methodology of teaching foreign languages and translation, as well as comparative and translation studies in relation to the Ukrainian language. On the material of English, German and Ukrainian, a range of problems notable from scientific point of aspect are discussed, including those of cognitive linguistics, discourse studies, semantics and pragmatics of fictional and media discourses, lexicography; in particular, heuristics of speech universals, semiotics of multimodal text, intertextuality, a politician’s discourse image, etc.
