The articles cover issues on foreign philology, comparative and translation studies in relation to the Ukrainian language. On the material of English, German and Ukrainian, a range of problems notable from scientific point of view are discussed, including those of cognitive linguistics, discourse studies, semantics and pragmatics of fictional and media discourses, lexicography; in particular, heuristics of speech universals, semiotics of multimodal text, intertextuality, a politician’s discourse image, etc.
