CRISIS as the Subject of the "Doing"Schema of Conceptual Correlates (in the Contemporary English Newspaper Discourse)

Abstract
The article discovers the conceptual correlates of the referent CRISIS, created on the basis of the “doing” schema in the contemporary English newspaper discourse and brings to light their evaluative potential. The correlate conceptual space of the CRISIS metaphors is a hierarchic network of domains formed by the propositional schemas of the basic frames. The correlates realize the negative evaluative potential.
