«Царські роки» Тиграна II Великого
Анотація
Статтю присвячено політиці царів з династії Арташесидів у сфері літочислення. В історіографії немає одностайної думки щодо поширення у Великий Вірменії елліністичних або власних ер літочислення. Аналіз джерел дозволяє стверджувати, що у ІІ ст. до н. е., попри численні контакти з елліністичними державами, у Великій Вірменії не використовували еру Селевкідів або іншу азійську еру. Тигран II був, імовірно, єдиним царем династії Арташесидів, який проводив цілеспрямовану політику у сфері хронології. Аналіз монет вірменського царя показав, що в період розквіту Вірменської імперії Тигран II не бачив необхідності створення особливої ери літочислення. На монетах царя взагалі не вказували дати, за винятком монет дамаського карбування, датованих за ерою Селевкідів. Цифри з’являються тільки на монетах так званого імперського типу (з написом «цар царів»), які було викарбувано, вірогідно, в Арташаті. Попри те, що значна кількість сучасних учених продовжує відмовлятися визнавати цифри на монетах роками правління вірменського царя, можна впевнено стверджувати, що цифри від 33 до 39 позначають саме «царські роки» Тиграна ІІ. Усі інші пояснення цих позначок на монетах, а саме: «ера Сідона» або «невідома вірменська ера» не мають фактичного підтвердження. Цілком вірогідно, що після поразки від Помпея у 66 р. до н. е. Тигран II почав вказувати на срібних монетах арташатського карбування роки свого правління. Це було спричинено тим, що правителю Великої Вірменії необхідно було продемонструвати підданим міцність і тривалість свого правління, авторитет якого похитнувся після капітуляції 66 р. до н. е. Проте ці роки не вказують на заснування нової ери літочислення, тому що на монетах наступника Тиграна II Артавазда ІІ вказано менші роки, аніж ті, які вказував сам Тигран ІІ.
