The journal publishes articles on a wide range of current issues in foreign philology, covering the fields of linguistics, translation studies and the literature of foreign countries. The topics covered in the linguistics articles include theoretical grammar, lexicology, stylistics, history of language, pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics, both synchronically and diachronically. The topics of articles in the field of translation studies address historical and theoretical issues of translation, as well as translation criticism. Articles on foreign literature focus on contemporary and classical theories of traditional and comparative literary studies, as well as on poetological, communicative and pragmatically linguistic aspects of literary discourse.

We accept submissions for publication reviews of individual and collective monographs by Ukrainian and foreign philologists.

For scholars, researchers, teachers, PhD students, and education seekers.

The aim and tasks of the Journal of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Series: “Foreign Philology. Methods of Foreign Language Teaching”:

– to popularize philological science and disseminate its results obtained by Ukrainian scholars;
