PHENOMENON OF CHIFTAINSHIP: FROM PAST EXPERIENCE TO PRESENT
Abstract
The origins of the chieftainship and how this phenomenon can exist in the modern world are considered. On the basis of comparison of certain examples (North Korea, Nazi Germany) differences and similarities of chieftainship are investigated in different countries. Three factors are singled out and analyzed in more detail, which promote the chieftainship. Description of figure of chief, and also types of societies, in which chieftainship can develop and in which cannot are examined.
