The journal specializes in Ukrainian studies and history of Ukraine. Its main objective is to publish the latest scientific research on Ukrainian studies and history of Ukraine, publications of historical, historiographical research, source studies in the form of articles and notes, as well as reviews of scientific publications and scientific chronicle materials. The journal accepts for publication articles and other specified scientific texts in Ukrainian or English. The main focus is the history of Ukraine IX-XXI centuries, urban, ethnocultural, historiographical studies.

Intended for scientists, postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, students of history and all those interested in the problems of the history and culture of Ukraine. Articles for the newsletter are accepted from scientific and pedagogical workers, as well as from employees of museums, libraries, and cultural centers.
