Abstract

The author analyzes the criteria and the structure of leadership in political and administrative activity. The features of leadership in political and administrative activity and characteristics that are unique to this realm are studied. The basic criteria of political leadership in political and administrative activity are analyzed, and the most important structural elements of the political leadership are described. The following scientific methods of research are used: analysis, generalization, description, concretization, systematization, structural and functional method. The criteria and the components of personality, that can become a leader in the political and administrative field are identified (i. e. professional, emotional and informational components of leadership, as well as the ability to satisfy public interests and needs.
