Authorship and AI tools

Authors must not list technologies based on artificial intelligence (hereafter – AI), including large language models (LLMs), chatbots, or image generators, as authors or co-authors. Any AI tools used in the research or in the preparation of the manuscript must be disclosed in the cover letter and indicated in the “Acknowledgements” and “Methods” sections of the manuscript. Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy of the content, adherence to the principles of academic integrity, and the avoidance of bias resulting from the use of AI. Editors may reject manuscripts in cases of improper use of AI, and reviewers must refrain from preparing reviews using AI in order to preserve confidentiality.

See Authorship and AI tools, COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)

Images and other multimedia materials generated using AI are not permitted for publication in the Journal without explicit permission from the editorial office. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis for materials directly related to AI or machine learning topics.
