Core ethical principles:
Accuracy. We publish only verified information. All submitted manuscripts undergo peer review and plagiarism screening. Errors identified after publication are corrected promptly and transparently.
Editorial independence. Publication decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of the submitted work. No third parties may influence editorial decisions.
Transparency. The editorial board openly discloses information about the review process, conflicts of interest and editorial procedures.
Non-discrimination. Manuscripts are evaluated on their scholarly content without regard to the author’s race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship or political affiliation.
Responsibility. The editorial board bears full responsibility for published content and responds promptly to any complaints or allegations of ethical misconduct.
Special ethical considerations for research under wartime conditions. Given the Collection’s thematic focus on governance under conditions of armed conflict, authors must ensure that published material does not compromise national security, the safety of individuals, or the confidentiality of data relating to critical infrastructure.
