ARBITRATION SPECIAL COMPETENCE

Abstract

the article is devoted to the arbitration institutions that have a specific narrow specialization in the sphere of the alternative dispute resolutions – the arbitration of special competence. It was examined the investment, sport, maritime and grain arbitrations. The investment arbitration is presented through the specificity of the special subject, the role of state immunities, "umbrella clauses". The sports arbitration is reviewed as a part of the system for resolving disciplinary and commercial disputes in the field of sports. The maritime arbitration deals with disputes from contractual and other civil law relations that arise during commercial navigation and require specific qualification of the arbitrators. The subject of grain arbitration is the grain and feed trade disputes (under the terms of GAFTA contracts) and oils, seeds, fats trade disputes (under the terms of FOSFA contracts). The main institutions of each type special competence arbitration are presented.
