Journal of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Series "Law" is a scientific peer-reviewed open access academic journal. The journal of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Series «Law» publishes articles containing the results of research in the field of legal science, in particular on the problems of the theory and history of state and law, international and European law, constitutional, civil, labour, administrative, criminal, and other branches of law.

Main Sections, Purpose and Objectives of the Journal

The structure of the journal includes sections devoted to the theory and history of state and law, international law, constitutional and municipal law, civil and civil procedural law, land, family and labour law, criminal law studies, and other legal disciplines.

The purpose of The journal of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Series «Law» is to provide a professional academic platform for publishing the results of fundamental and applied legal research, developing contemporary legal doctrine, fostering scholarly discussion on current issues of state and law, and promoting the integration of Ukrainian legal scholarship into the international academic community. The journal is focused on covering modern trends in legal development, improving legislation and legal practice, and strengthening the principles of the rule of law, democracy, and the protection of human rights.

The main objectives of the journal are:

  • publication of original scholarly articles on current issues of legal science;
  • development of theoretical and methodological foundations of jurisprudence;
  • presentation of research results in the fields of constitutional, international, administrative, civil, criminal, and other branches of law;
  • promotion of historical-legal studies and comparative legal research;
  • analysis of contemporary processes of state-building and reform of the legal system of Ukraine;
  • research into issues of ensuring and protecting human rights and freedoms;
  • generalisation and scholarly analysis of law enforcement and judicial practice;
  • promotion of research achievements of scholars of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and other academic institutions of Ukraine and abroad;
  • ensuring scholarly communication among researchers, university lecturers, postgraduate students, legal practitioners, and law students;
  • facilitating the implementation of research results into legislative, law enforcement, and educational activities.

The journal is intended for scholars, university lecturers, legal practitioners, postgraduate students, and students.
