Religious tourism in christianity in the modern world

Abstract

The author analyses Christianity dissemination, its main divisions and features of religious tourism development in Christianity. The article reveals that the number of Christians in the world is growing and Christians are the majority among pilgrims. The author examines World's macroregions of pilgrimage. The study shows that the majority of Ukrainians are Christians and there are great possibilities for religious tourism development. The article characterizes the main religious attractions in Ukraine. The author shows the most attractive icons of The Mother of God and saint springs among religion tourist
