The possible role of the single-chain largeness damages in the formation of lethal DNA double-chain scissions in cells exposed to X-radiation or gamma-radiation
Abstract
In paper we have propound the origination radiation damage that could be hardly repaired or non-repaired as a result of the transformation single-chain largeness gaps into double-chain scissions in the DNA of the irradiated cells. It became the basis for the mathematical modelling of the single-chain largeness gaps formation and theirs transformation into the double-chain scissions. By virtue of the constructed model the formulas for calculating the mean number of single-chain largeness gaps and double-chain scissions at the cell were obtained.
