Complaints and appeals policy

The Collection undertakes to consider complaints and appeals fairly, promptly and transparently.

Complaints. Any person may file a complaint regarding the Collection’s publishing practices, published content or suspected violations of publication ethics. Complaints are sent to the Editor-in-Chief’s email address. The Editorial Board acknowledges receipt of the complaint within 7 working days and informs the applicant of the results of the review within 30 days.

Appeals. Authors whose manuscripts have been rejected have the right to file a reasoned appeal to the Editor-in-Chief within 14 calendar days of receiving the decision. The appeal must contain specific arguments regarding the reviewers’ comments and justification for the need to review the decision.

The Editor-in-Chief may: confirm the initial decision; send the manuscript for additional review by another reviewer; cancel the initial decision.

The Editor-in-Chief’s decision on the appeal is final.

If the complaint concerns the actions of the editor-in-chief, it is submitted for consideration to the Academic Council of the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University
