Abstract

the article is devoted to the study of the case-law of the ECHR regarding the conditions and grounds for restoring the time limits for appealing against judicial decisions. The article points out that the ECHR considers procedural lines in the context of the right to access to court and the principle of legal certainty. At the same time, the mechanism for applying the procedural deadlines should be flexible enough, that is, it should allow the restoration of procedural deadlines, and must also be subject to a subjective factor – the period for appeal and its consequences should be predictable and predictable for the applicant.
