The development of sports tourism in Ukraine

Abstract

The article deals with the development of various types of sports tourism and their territorial organization in Ukraine. The article pays attention  mountain ski tourism, which is the basis for the development of tourism in Ukraine in winter period. The ski areas, ski resorts and their tourism infrastructure are analyzed in the article. Mountain hiking trails, water and speleological tourism, hiking are popular with tourists. The natural conditions for the development of these types of tourism are highlighted, the list of the country’s territories, which are suitable for mountain hiking trails, water tourism campaigns and speleological tourism are offered, their category of complexity is determined. The following types of tourism as cycling, horse riding, scuba diving and extreme tourism are considered.
