Zonal features of oil and gas deposits in Dnieper-Donets basin

Abstract

Zonal peculiarities of oil and gas deposits distribution in Dnieper-Donetsk basin are considered. Main and depth zones of hydrocarbons accumulation are chosen and their basic differences are grounded. Oil and gas deposits’ characteristic is given in the limits of south-east part of Dnieper-Donetsk basin. Main differences of the oil and gas accumulation in the central axis zone and limited zones are considered; basic characteristic of deposits in the south-east part of DDb is shown. Contemporary connection between location of hydrocarbons deposits and tectonic thermal activization is shown on the neotectonical phase of the pool development. Some corrections in direction and methodology of regional exploration and seismic researches of oil and gas are suggested.
