ОЩЕ ВЕДНЪЖ ЗА МИГРАЦИЯТА НА СИНОВЕТЕ НА АТИЛА НА ИЗТОК

Анотація
Статията проследява процеса на миграция на синовете на Атила на изток от втората половина на V в. В историографската традиция този процес се разглежда като еднократен, пълномащабен акт, извършен или непосредствено след битката при р. Недао (Панония) през 454 г. или десетилетие след нея.
В настоящото проучване се установява, че синовете на Атила се изтеглят на изток от Карпатите, не вкупом, а поетапно в периода 454-466 г. Анализът на изворите ни позволява да говорим за поне три такива миграции: Първи напускат Среден Дунав синовете на Атила, които се намират в обкръжението на Елак. Това се случва през 454 г. след като Елак пада убит в битка с гепидите и техните съюзници. Новите местообитания на братята му могат да се потърсят в най-източните краища на Степната империя – до бреговете на р. Дон. Втори са хуните водени от най-малкия син на Атила Ернах. През 454 или през следващата 455 г. след неуспешната си военна кампания срещу остготите те са принудени да се изтеглят към бреговете на р. Днепър в източно съседство с първата група. Трети и последни са хуните около Денгизих. След ново тежко поражение от остготите през средата на 460-те, този син на Атила мигрира на изток от Карпатите в източно съседство с брат си Ернах.
