Age features of certain fibroblasts properties
Abstract
This review summarizes the data on changes in main parameters of vital activity of fibroblasts, such as morphological features, intensity of proliferation, synthetic potential, susceptibility to apoptosis etc., in the course of development and aging. In the process of fibroblasts ontogenesis their synthetic and proliferative capacity significantly reduces as well as the rate of cell migration, and the number of apoptotic cells in the culture increases. This phenomenon is the result of changes in the balance between regulatory proteins, both produced by cells and coming from outside.
