The educational practices of schoolchildren of Kharkiv region: indicators, dynamics, and factors of actualization
Abstract
The article discusses the phenomenon of educational practices of schoolchildren of Kharkiv region. Authors use the achievements of another researchers in the sphere of education and produce their own definition of educational practices, distinguish and characterize the factors of actualization of educational practices. Among the factors of educational practices the authors examine value orientations, motivations of learning activities, attitude of teenagers to learning, including attitude toward individual academic disciplines. Among the identities of educational practices are attendance and making homework. Particular attention is paid to such key indicator of (non-)efficiency of educational practices as academic performance of schoolchildren. The results of comparative data analysis of sociological researches conducted in 1999 and 2013 among Kharkiv schoolchildren are provided. It is stressed that such analysis allows to make a conclusion about transformation of the structure of motivational attitudes in educational activity of contemporary schoolchildren that are mirrored in indicators of their educational practices.
