Ethical Codex

Relationships between authors, the editorial board, and reviewers in our journal are based on the principles of academic goodwill, objective evaluation, and the priority of scientific quality. The Editorial Board of Visnyk of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, series “Radio Physics and Electronics”. Issues of Neoecology, to ensure the quality, transparency, and reliability of scientific publications, adheres in its activities to the principles of ethical integrity (Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)), professional editing (WAME), and objective evaluation of scientific contributions (DORA), in particular: the Code of Ethics for Scientists of Ukraine.

We adhere to clear ethical principles to ensure the creation and dissemination of content based on responsibility and ethics.

Accuracy and fact-checking. We publish only reliable information, carefully verifying facts before publication, and promptly correct any errors, doing so transparently.

Editorial independence. Our decisions are independent; third parties cannot influence our content.

Transparency. We openly disclose any conflicts of interest or ties to third parties, providing clear references to sources and contributors.

Diversity and Inclusion. We respect and support diversity by representing different perspectives in our content.

Data Protection. We uphold the right to privacy by protecting personal information in accordance with the law.

Copyright. We respect intellectual property and avoid copyright infringements. Authors (co-authors) guarantee that their manuscript is original, does not infringe on intellectual property rights, and has not been previously published or submitted to other journals for publication.

Responsibility. We bear full responsibility for the content published and respond promptly to comments and complaints.

 

Anonymity and confidentiality: Measures to protect participants’ identities and ensure data confidentiality must be described in detail in the application. For studies involving identifying data, additional safeguards must be demonstrated.

1. Authorship and Contribution to the Article
An author must be a person who meets all of the following criteria:
Made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, execution of the study, data collection, or data analysis/interpretation; and
Wrote the manuscript or critically edited it to make an important intellectual contribution; and
Has reviewed the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission for publication.
The corresponding author must ensure that all individuals meeting the authorship criteria are included, that those not meeting these criteria are excluded, and confirm that all co-authors have reviewed the final version and agree to the submission of the manuscript. Individuals who have made significant supporting contributions (e.g., technical assistance, editing assistance, or general support) should be acknowledged in a “footnote” at the beginning of the article.
2. Handling of Complaints, Violations, and Appeals
The journal strives to uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity. Any allegations of scientific misconduct—including plagiarism, falsification or fabrication of data, or manipulation of citations—will be addressed in accordance with COPE guidelines.
If a violation is detected during the peer review process, the manuscript will be rejected.
If a violation is detected after publication, corrective measures will be taken: publication of a correction (erratum), clarification, or, in serious cases, retraction of the article.
Editors and publishers must not encourage or knowingly permit any violations.
3. Conflict of Interest / Competing Interests
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that may influence or appear to influence the results of the study. Disclosure must be made at the time of manuscript submission and included in the text of the article. All sources of financial support, including grant numbers, must also be indicated.
4. Data Sharing and Research Reproducibility
The journal encourages transparency and the reproducibility of results. Authors are encouraged to provide relevant research data, including raw and processed data, software, algorithms, protocols, methods, and materials, to facilitate verification and replication of the research.
5. Discussion and Corrections After Publication
Authors are required to immediately notify the editorial board of any significant errors or inaccuracies in published works. Corrections may be made in the form of an erratum, or, in serious cases, the article may be retracted. Editors may also respond to comments from third parties, and authors are obligated to cooperate in making corrections or providing evidence of the correctness of their work.
