Abstract

Applied-geographic approach was used to analyze site suitability for wind turbines installation. Determined that the placement of wind power affect the technical, environmental and social factors. The most important factor is the availability of sufficient wind resources. Determining factors also include: geological structure and terrain, distance to roads, connection to the existing power lines, no impact on the flora and fauna, distance from settlements.
