The influence of nickel and manganese ions on the ultrastructure of blastomers of loach embryo
Abstract
The ultrastructure of the embryo cell of the loach (Misgumus fossilis L.) at the stage of 2 blastomeres in the control and in the conditions of a nickel and manganese ion influence has been investigated. It is shown, that the influence of these heavy metals in concentration 10-4 M is resulted in significant ultrastructural changes of embryo cells, such as rarefaction of cytoplasm, disorganization of membranes and crystals of mitochondria and destruction of mitochondria, decreasing of the quantity of ribosomes and polysomes, an increase of the quantity of lysosomes and damage of the cell membrane. Such changes confirm the toxic influence of nickel and manganese ions on embryo cells.
