Value Preferences of Kharkiv Teenagers: the Dynamics and Actualization Features

Abstract

Basing on results of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Sociology Department surveys (1999 and 2013), the article presents synchronic and diachronic analysis of value orientations of teenagers, who live both in city and Kharkiv region. Teenager's value hierarchy and dynamics are investigated in the article. The correlation between teenagers' terminal values and such objective and subjective characteristics of the representatives as gender, parental education, parental family financial status, school advancement, socially-professional plans is analyzed. The "modernization" and "post-modernization" of Kharkiv teenager's value consciousness are highlighted.
