Золото-індукований магнетизм та термічна стабільність у нанолистах SiC: DFT+U
Анотація
Двовимірні нанолисти карбіду кремнію (SiC), леговані золотом, досліджуються за допомогою теорії спін-поляризованої густини (DFT+U) для вивчення їхньої електронної структури, індукованого магнетизму та термічної стабільності. Одинарні (1Au@Si) та подвійні (2Au@2Si) конфігурації заміщення моделюються в суперкомірці 4×4 для забезпечення надійної оцінки власних властивостей. Включення Au значно звужує ширину забороненої зони, зберігаючи при цьому напівпровідниковий характер нанолиста SiC. Аналіз густини станів зі спіновим розрізненням показує, що 5d-орбіталі Au домінують в електронних станах поблизу рівня Фермі. Незважаючи на майже спін-вироджені дисперсії зон, аналіз спінової популяції Маллікена виявляє індукований легуючими речовинами магнетизм, опосередкований сусідніми атомами вуглецю. Система 1Au@Si демонструє магнітний момент ~3 μB, тоді як конфігурація 2Au@2Si стабілізує феримагнітний стан із загальним магнітним моментом ~6 μB. У наближенні середнього поля оцінена температура Кюрі становить приблизно 510 K, що свідчить про можливість магнітної стабільності вище кімнатної температури та потенційне застосування в спінтронічних пристроях.
