Uncertainty in the evolution of structures of reaction-diffusion medium of bioreactor

Abstract

The passing of the reaction-diffusion process was investigated in the bioreactor using the mathematical model. It was shown, that with time the space-heterogeneous stationary dissipative structures arise over the biotechnology process of defined parameters. The diffusion constant of the porous medium and physical-chemical parameters of the system define the size and arising structures. The physical-chemical process of its self-organization was investigated in the biosystem of immobile cells. The dependence of space-heterogeneous stationary dissipative structures from the value of diffusion coefficient of the porous medium was analyzed. The repetitive structures for different diffusion coefficients were found and the influence of the indeterminacy of structure on control behavior process activity was investigated.
