Римская концепция amicitia, в отличие от современной «дружбы», была менее эмоциональной, с упором на практической деятельности. Утверждение системы принципата привело к появлению amici imperatoris как влиятельной политической группы. Друзья императора пользовались различным влиянием на расстановку кадров и решение вопросов государственной политики. При новом принципате друзья императора могли как сохранить, так и потерять свое положение. Обнаруживается тенденция к формализации amicitia. Дружба становится иерархической, с императором на вершине пирамиды.

Summary

O. Petrechko. Amici Imperatoris under the Principate

Roman concept amicitia, unlike modern “friendship” was less emotional, but emphasizing upon the practical aspects of the relationship. Establishment of the Principate system led to the creation of amici imperatoris, an influential political group. Friends of the emperor had a varied influence upon the placement of personnel and resolution of public policy issues. Under the new Principate, emperor’s friends’ influence was not assured and could be lost. We may trace a tendency to formalization of amicitia. Friendship becomes hierarchical, with the emperor at the top of the pyramid.
