Innovative Tools and Media Monitoring Tools
Abstract
The article presents a research on the analysis of existing and prospective opportunities for managing information processes in the context of media monitoring. Modern tools for the implementation of automated search, systematization and fixation of content with the development of appropriate algorithms and software are presented. The basic content search tools are content analysis press clipping methods and data formalization methods when creating profile media reports. Three stages are suggested as the basic algorithm for media monitoring. The first one involves collecting thematic information with the primary systematization of the data obtained according to the criteria of the timeline of publication, keywords (names, terms, names) and localization of the search area in online and offline formats. The second stage is the task of in-depth systematization of the data obtained, through ordering by search queries and content analysis of the content. In the third stage, the content processing algorithm involves its visualization, analysis and development of appropriate decision-making recommendations. As media monitoring tools, two blocks are considered – manual and automated procedures. Manual work involves performing a certain sequence of actions by a group of profile professionals. And for the implementation of the automated procedure, it is planned to use such tools as BigData, artificial neural networks, swarm intelligence and others. Emphasis is placed on the need to develop integrated, cross-sectoral projects in Ukraine that will address the issues of improving information management, in particular in the field of media. The result of such work should be the creation of software that will have the functions of automated monitoring and management of information fields in the Ukrainian media.
