Abstract

In the article the problem of influence of political parties of Central and Eastern Europe on the process of democratization is examined. Types of communist regimes in eastern western postcommunist countries are examined. The reasons of diversity of party systems configurations in eastern western postcommunist countries are exposed. The type of political parties which promotes the achievement of stable democracy and society consolidation is determined. The factors that most substantially influence on consolidation processes of party systems are clarified.
