Abstract

Formation the priorities of Russian energy policy and trends in enlargement the control of world energy infrastructure have defined the place of Ukrainian gas system as a desirable object for control. Initiating the energy crisis in winter 2005-2006 and in the period of election campaign in Ukraine gave the possibility to obtain strong sticks of influence on internal political process. Besides in 2005-2006 Russian authority haven’t reached all desirable results, but the so called “gas war” have revealed those weak elements in the system of energy security of Ukraine that are actual even today as economic and political threats.
