FRUSTRATION REACTIONS IN PARTICIPANTS OF MILITARY ACTION WITH EYE INJURIES AND PARTIAL VISION LOSSES
Abstract
To study the specifics of the formation of a response to the factors of social frustration of combatants with eye trauma and partial vision loss, to further determine targets for targeted medical and psychological measures for their rehabilitation, subject to informed consent with respect to the principles of bioethics and deontology during 2014-2018 91 combatants were examined (49 with an eye injury and partial loss of vision against the background of psychological maladjustment and 42 with psychological maladjustment). For comparison, 59 men with partial loss of vision due to domestic trauma were recruited, who formed the comparison group. Thus, the study involved 150 people. All respondents were screened for a mental condition using a clinical diagnostic interview - SCID (Structured Clinical Interview for DSM), a clinical diagnostic scale (CAPS) (Clinical-administered PTSD Scale), a neuroticism and psychopathisization questionnaire. In the study of frustration reactions and stress tolerance of combatants with eye trauma and partial loss of vision against the background of psychological maladjustment, significant differences were established between those who took part in the hostilities with psychological maladjustment without injury and a group of patients with domestic injury of the organs of vision with partial loss. Participants in the fighting for eye injury with partial loss of vision and without such and psychological maladjustment observed unidirectional and more pronounced changes. With domestic trauma, they are significantly lower, which indicates a significant role of psychological maladjustment in the occurrence of mental disorders. This suggests the likelihood of including ways of psychological protection of the individual and the adaptation to the presence of stress-frustration
