Axiological Parameterization of the Concept “Work” and its Verbalization in Modern Ukrainian

Abstract

The article considers specific features of evaluative representation of the concept “Work” in Modern Ukrainian. It characterizes images, which are important for Uktainian linguistic and cultural space and represent positive or negative attitude to work in people’s lives. Extralinguistic factors, determining national specific features of work evaluation, are pointed out. Analized are constants of national lexical and phraseological image creation that reflect stereotypical views on the place and role of work in life. Evaluative potential of the small genre form texts is accentuated.
