PROVIDING THE EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT «METHODOLOGY AND METHODS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH» IN THE COURSE OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE MASTER'S STUDENTS

The article deals with the task of modernising the process of professional training of future master's students in higher education institutions of pedagogical profile.
The current trends in the development of the content of educational components aimed at mastering the theoretical foundations and practical skills of organising and conducting scientific research by higher education students are analysed. The importance of further improving the professional training of future masters to conduct scientific and pedagogical research in modern conditions is noted, since both the social challenges themselves and the possible mechanisms for responding to them by the higher education system are constantly changing.
The article summarises the experience of developing and implementing the educational component "Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research" in the course of professional training of future masters (speciality 011 Educational, Pedagogical Sciences) at the Municipal establishment "Kharkiv Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy" of the Kharkiv Regional Council.
The purpose of the educational component "Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research" is to train specialists capable of making and ensuring optimal decisions on research activities in the field of education through the formation of methodological and research competencies.
The approaches to ensuring the content, organisational and methodological aspects of the development and teaching of the educational component are described. Examples of types, methods and forms of work and tasks within each area of work are given.
It is concluded that the presented work provides students with generalisation and systematisation of scientific knowledge on the issues of methodology and methods of scientific research, encourages them to thoroughly and comprehensively analyse modern educational trends, and contributes to changing the state of formation of methodological and research competencies to the highest possible level in specific conditions.
These materials can be used in the preparation of methodological recommendations, development of special courses and special seminars, in the preparation of textbooks, and in practical training for students of higher education institutions of pedagogical profile studying in the speciality 011 Education, Pedagogical Sciences.
We see prospects for further research in determining the direct impact of the quality of mastering by future masters of the set of competencies provided for in the study of the educational component "Methodology and methods of scientific research" on the effectiveness of their preparation and defence of qualification work.
