Анотація

У статті пропонується критичне осмислення сучасних західних концептуальних уявлень про розвиток сільських і периферійних територій Європи крізь призму соціально-конструктивістської позиції. Такий погляд дозволяє відійти від традиційного сприйняття розвитку територій через економічні показники (традиційний нормативний підхід) і побачити більше можливостей, заснованих на неекономічних цінностях, для сільських і віддалених територій. З урахуванням цього пропонується критичний огляд від пануючих уявлень про ядрові та периферійні території до альтернативних підходів до розвитку в периферійних районах, що підтверджує думку про “мислення поза ростом”. Вважаємо такий підхід корисним і своєчасним для сучасної України на етапі багаторівневого формування стратегій просторового розвитку і зміни з 2020 р. ролі уряду в регіональній політиці на надання гарантованих державою послуг.
