Complaints and appeals policy

DENIAL AND APPEALS POLICY

The Collection is committed to handling complaints and appeals fairly, promptly and transparently.

Denial. Any person may submit a denial regarding the Collection’s editorial practices, published content, or suspected breaches of publication ethics. Denial should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief’s email address. The editorial office will acknowledge receipt of the denial within 10 working days and inform the complainant of the outcome within 30 days.

Appeals. Authors whose manuscripts have been rejected may submit a reasoned appeal to the Editor-in-Chief within 14 calendar days of receiving the decision. The appeal must contain specific arguments addressing the reviewers’ comments and a clear justification for why the decision should be reconsidered.

The Editor-in-Chief may: uphold the original decision; send the manuscript for additional review by a different reviewer; or reverse the original decision.

The Editor-in-Chief’s decision on the appeal is final.

Should a complaint concern the conduct of the Editor-in-Chief, the matter shall be referred to the Academic Council of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
