Abstract

The article deals with the results of survey conducted in 2017 within the Ukrainian-Norwegian project «Participatory Democracy and Evidence-Based Decision Making at the Local Level in Ukraine». There were considered attitudes of population and local councillors in cities and amalgamated territorial communities toward decentralization in Ukraine. There were identified differences between views of aforementioned categories of respondents with regard to functioning of local governance authorities. Analysis of reasons influenced the differences was conducted.
