Scoliosis In Children As One Of The Causes Of Anxiety

Abstract

In the article the author emphasizes that the study of the psychological characteristics of children with scoliosis, is an important precondition for normal adaptation and rehabilitation of these patients. Received during the study results and identified patterns can contribute to maximize treatment outcome, reduce the level of disability, the child's successful integration into the social space. It has been established that the presence of anxiety in children with various degree of scoliosis has a negative impact not only on the process of socialization, adaptation and learning, but also has a negative effect on the treatment. In the article there are given the results of empirical research, which main purpose was to determine the relationship between the degree of scoliosis in children aged 10 to 14 years of age and their level of anxiety. The research of common, school, interpersonal anxiety in children with various degrees of scoliosis can be the basis for the psychological component of comprehensive medical rehabilitation program for these patients.
