Abstract

The article is devoted to the complex research of influence on the academic performance of students’ psychological factors such as anxiety, accentuation of character, intro-/extraversion, personality type and features of attention and memory. The academic performance of students is not only an important criterion of study at the university, but also has a direct impact on the development of qualities needed in future professional activity. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that comparison of high achievers and mediocre achievers is one of the main problems of psychology and pedagogy. This issue has not been studied enough in both domestic and foreign works of scientists. The conclusions of the comparison of various categories of students will enable well-organized educational process. This article describes the results of empirical research, the validity of which is tested and proven by methods of mathematical processing of the results.
