Abstract
The article analyses and updates theoretical and methodological aspects of economic crises and studies their nature, causes and patterns of functioning; researches the relationship between the dynamics of GDP, industrial output and the volume of loans, as well as the characteristics to identify pre-crisis state of the economy.
