Abstract

The article dedicates to the creation and operation of a new institution in the system of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences – the Section of History of Material Culture as part of the Historical Cycle of the Academy. The main actions for cultural heritage protection which were carried out the institution staff on the territory of Ukraine are characterized.
