Retraction
Procedure for withdrawing published articles
Retraction of a published article is a mechanism for correcting published information and notifying readers that the publication contains shortcomings or errors. The grounds for retraction are violations of legal, publication and ethical norms.
The editorial board is guided by the COPE recommendations on corrections and withdrawals of publications and adheres to the principles of academic integrity and responsibility to readers.
The grounds for retraction of an article (retraction) may be:
- detection of plagiarism in the article;
- duplication of the article in other publications;
- false arguments that reduce the scientific value of the publication;
- detection of falsifications or fabrications in the text of the article;
- incorrect composition of authors;
- re-publication of the article without the consent of the author;
- an article that has not undergone the review procedure.
The retraction of an article can be initiated:
- upon an official written request from the author(s) of the article;
- upon an official written request from the editorial office of another journal;
- upon a written request from other persons (participants in a conflict of interest) if there is evidence of violations of scientific ethics by the author of the article;
- in the event that the editorial board of the journal identifies facts of violations of scientific ethics by the author in the text of the article.
The procedure for retraction of a scientific article is carried out as follows:
After the author or another person applies, the editorial board of the journal appoints a commission to verify the data.
In the event of a decision to withdraw (retract) an article, the reason and date of the retraction of the article are indicated in the protocol of the commission meeting.
Information about the retracted texts is sent to databases and libraries where the journal is located.
After the decision to retract is made, the article and its description remain on the publication's website. The electronic version is signed "Retracted" and the date of retraction is given. This is also noted in the table of contents of the issue.
