Abstract

The ways of decentralization and democratization in the system of higher education
governance in Czech Republic are studied. The national legislation in higher education, subjects
of authority, governmental bodies (Ministry) and public are considered. Their competencies in
higher education governance and education policy-making in Czech Republic are highlighted.
