МІФ ТА МАНІПУЛЯЦІЙНІ СТРАТЕГІЇ ВЛАДИ

Abstract

У статті аналізуються основні наукові дослідження міфу, влади та маніпуляції,
висвітлено такі концепти як влада, реальність, міф і як вони співвідносяться із
процесами маніпуляції. З’ясовано сутність міфу, його ознаки та функції. Визначено
маніпулятивну функцію міфу та роль засобів масової інформації у поширенні міфів.
Окреслено як маніпуляція свідомістю здійснює владу над суспільством, а також
особливості функціонування міфів у суспільно-політичному житті сучасного
українського суспільства та їх наслідки.

статье анализируются основные подходы в исследовании мифа, власти и манипуляции,
такие концепты как власть, реальность, миф и как они соотносятся с процессами
манипуляции. Выяснено сущность мифа, его признаки и функции. Определено
манипулятивную функцию мифа и роль средств массовой информации в распространении
мифов. Определено как манипуляция сознанием осуществляет власть над обществом, а
также особенности функционирования мифов в общественно-политической жизни
современного украинского общества и их последствия.

Bodenchuk N.V. MYTH AND THE AUTHORITY’S MANIPULATION STRATEGIES
The article analyzes main research findings on myth, authority and manipulation, explains such
concepts as authority, reality, myth and their correlation with manipulation processes. The
author ascertains the essence of myth, its features and functions, defines myth’s manipulative
function and the role of the media in spreading myths. The research describes how manipulation
with consciousness wields power over the society as well as the peculiarities of myth functioning
in the social and political life of the Ukrainian society and their effects. The article demonstrates
the ways the authority employs to use mythical in its modern strategies and suggests the most
adequate definition of myth out of the numerous existing definitions. It also identifies the origins
for strategies, employed by authority focusing on myth’s role in this process.
The analyzed material allowed to draw the following conclusions: myth is an effective
means of manipulating the mass consciousness with an important role in this process ascribed to
the media that are a powerful source for creating and spreading myths.
