Abstract

The article presents summary analysis of the results of the monitoring of the processes of socioprofessional selection of the Ural students. The role of the family in formation of educational trajectories of student youth is defined. It is emphasized that at the modern stage a new model of the young people’s entry into the independent working life is formed. It is proved that exactly socio-professional selection sets the vector of the direction of educational and occupational as well as the general life trajectories. A special role in the process of professional choice is obtained by family. The family in many ways prepares the individual to acquire a certain socio-professional status and to achieve a certain level of education, as well as to choose activity of the specific nature. Professional continuity between parents and children is implemented in three main forms: socio-cultural, social, and professional.
