Regional aspects of poverty in Ukraine

Abstract
The basic methodological approaches to the definition of poverty and its human-geographical aspects were discussed. Economic, social-demographic, cultural, behavioral, and milieu factors of poverty distribution are determined. Current poverty rates in Ukraine in general and its regional characteristics in particular in terms of food consumption, its balance, and incomes were analysed. The typing of Ukrainian regions by the curve of the income pyramid was presented, and every type peculiarities are revealed.
