Abstract

The level of neuroticism and pathological anxiety are the leading characteristics of the emotional state of wives and mothers of patients suffering from paranoid schizophrenia (PS) with a long term of illness. The study of these parameters facilitates finding their pathognomonic features and further development of the target correction. To this aim, psychopathological and psychodiagnostic methods of 320 men with PS, and their mothers and wives were examined. High rates of neuroticism were found that indicated a considerable depth of pathopersonologic transformation and requires a differentiated approach to the correction of these changes. Based on the data complex of psychological measures for correction in defined group of respondents was developed. During the study, also an ambiguous nature of changes in the psycho-emotional sphere was found, which necessitates a thorough investigation of psychopathological and pathopersonological transformation in this category of persons.
