The article deals with the history of research and some issues of the interpretation of the hillfort in the tract Gorodische in the Kharkiv region – one of the brightest monuments of the Siversky Donets group of the Scythian age. Particular attention is paid to the prospects of research related to the use of the latest technologies and methods.
