RIBONUCLEASE INTERACTION WITH LIPOSOMES
Abstract
The interaction of the cationic protein ribonuclease with negatively charged liposomes composed of phosphatidylcholine and diphosphatidylglycerol has been studied. In terms of the lattice and continual models of large ligand adsorption on the surface parameters of the protein-lipid complex formation have been estimated. Positive cooperativity of the ribonuclease binding to lipid bilayer has been found. It was assumed that the bound protein self-association enchanced upon increasing surface charge of the lipid bilayer.
