This Obscure Object of Study, or Attempt to Use the Assemblage Method to the Study of Results the Implementation of Media Education in Secondary Schools in Ukraine
Abstract
The article is devoted to the possibilities of applying the method, proposed in the works of the English sociologist J. Law based on poststructuralist methodology, to the results of a study conducted by the PO «ERA» on request of «Internews Ukraine» on the topic «Implementation of media education and media literacy in secondary schools of Ukraine» in April - May 2015 and 2016. Application of the assemblage method provides a specific understanding of social reality, which is regarded as fundamentally multiple, interactive, artificial and uncertain. In this connection, the task of the researcher is to seek and to clarify how the integrality can exist in the perception of social actors from multiplicity of social reality. The study of the assemblage method involves the identification of three components: the presence, manifest of absence and the other. Application of this method to study the results makes it possible to present the results from an new point of view.
